Joint workshop led by ELGIA & TI Kenya on the Oversight and Compliance institutions charged with vetting of candidates regarding Chapter 6
On Thursday 15th June 2023 & Friday 16th June 2023, The Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa ( ELGIA) in partnership with Transparency International-Kenya (TI-Kenya) have facilitated a Joint workshop with the Oversight and Compliance institutions charged with vetting of candidates on the basis of constitutional requirements on ethical and moral standards for elective positions.
Ms Brenda Isabel noted on her opening remarks ; “We are here to introspect , have genuine & honest conversations about matters regarding Chapter 6 and it's enforcement such as Overlapping Mandates. We pray to have fruitful deliberations towards building a multi agency framework for vetting agencies and create a form of cooperation between each other especially regarding our unifying mandate: The Enforcement of Chapter 6”
