Strengthening Kenya’s AML/CTF/CPR Commitments: ELGIA, BRS, and British High Commission Convene Strategic Dialogue:
Following Kenya’s recent signing of the Security Compact with the United Kingdom, the Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA), the British High Commission, and the Business Registration Service (BRS) convened a high-level meeting on Friday, 26th September 2025.
The dialogue focused on advancing priority areas aligned with FATF compliance, including enhanced disclosure of beneficial ownership information and institutional safeguards against financial crime.

This strategic engagement forms part of ELGIA’s implementation of the Kenya Institutional Strengthening Program (KISP), supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Partners reaffirmed their commitment to coordinated action, technical support, and policy alignment to bolster Kenya’s governance architecture and global accountability standards.
