ELGIA Workshop with IEBC Senior Management Staff on enhancing teamwork among the Commission staff

The Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) in partnership with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) convened a working session aimed at strengthening the corporate governance of the IEBC Secretariat.
The session brings together the senior management of the IEBC including the CEO, Deputy CEOs, Directors, Managers, scholars/ practitioners on electoral administration and psychosocial support.
 
In her remarks, the IEBC Deputy Commission Secretary/CEO - Operations, Ruth Kulundu asked the Management Staff to embrace mentorship to encourage and empower each other for personal and intellectual growth. This will also go a long way in increasing staff confidence, identifying and correcting gaps within the Secretariat.
 
IEBC DCS-Support Services, Obadiah Keitany asked IEBC Senior Management Staff to appreciate and value each other in order to grow a culture of peaceful co-existence within the organization.

IEBC Commission Secretary/ CEO Marjan H. Marjan thanked ELGIA for the great support accorded to the Commission before, during and after the #GE2022.
 
Mr. Marjan appreciated staff for working harmoniously through the turbulent times of pre, during and after the #GE2022 and showing fortitude in delivering a credible and peaceful election.
 
The CEO encouraged staff to be transformative.“Transformation originates from a changed heart and mind; it is expressed in speech and demonstrated in life through our actions,” he said.
 
Mr. Marjan asked IEBC Senior Management Staff to teamwork so as to build a cohesive team.
