ELGIA and ORPP held a Consultative Meeting with Faith Based Organizations
On Wednesday 30th October,2024, the Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) and Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) held a Consultative Meeting with Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) on reforming the Political Parties Act CAP 7D (PPA) following conclusion of the post-election evaluation exercise. The meeting aims to rethink the regulation of Political parties through reimaging measures that would strengthen the ORPP to execute its mandate, while building the capacity of political parties to reach their optimum as envisioned in the constitution.
