ELGIA- Supreme Court of Kenya Judges Election Dispute Resolution (EDR) Debrief
The Supreme Court Judges ICT Training and Election Debrief Working Session commenced with Day 1’s scope on the virtual court practice direction, the handling of 2022 Kenya’s Presidential election petition, the conduct of the petition hearings, the hits, and misses, technology;enabler or impediments, scrutiny of servers , scrutiny and recount.
The Key Note Remarks were made by ELGIA’s Executive Director- Mr Felix Owuor, Kenya Judiciary Academy (KJA) Director & Supreme Court Judge - Hon. Justice Smokin Wanjala , Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) Chair & Supreme Court Judge - Hon. Justice Mohammed Ibrahim , the Deputy Chief Justice & Vice President - Hon. Lady Justice Philomena Mwilu and the Chief Justice of Kenya & President of the Supreme Court - Hon. Lady Justice Martha Koome
ELGIA’s Executive Director - Mr Felix Owuor made a presentation at the Supreme Court of Kenya’s Election Dispute Resolution (EDR) Debrief. His presentation was on Presidential Election Petition experiences from across continent. After which Supreme Court Judge - Hon. Justice William Ouko led a plenary session on lessons learnt aimed at picking recommendations for Improvement.
