ELGIA in partnership IEBC and the National Treasury convened a learning session on of Supply Chain and Procurement
The Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA), in partnership with the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the National Treasury, held a learning session for the third cohort of IEBC’s Directorate of Supply Chain management, on Thursday 27th June 2024 in Machakos.
The workshop purposes to review the legal framework for procurement and facilitate the onboarding of IEBC’s procurement team onto the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGPS), sanctioned by the National Treasury.
This capacity-building initiative focuses on election operations, striving to improve transparency, efficiency, and verifiability in procurement processes. The technical support provides a crucial opportunity for electoral institutions to adhere to government systems and enhance service delivery.
