ELGIA in partnership IEBC convened a learning session on of Supply Chain and Procurement
On Monday, June 24th, 2024, the Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA), in collaboration with the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the National Treasury, held a learning session for the second cohort of IEBC’s Directorate of Supply Chain management.
The workshop aims to review the legal framework for procurement and facilitate the onboarding of IEBC’s procurement team onto the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGPS), sanctioned by the National Treasury. This capacity-building initiative focuses on election operations, striving to improve transparency, efficiency, and verifiability in procurement processes.
The technical support provided is crucial for electoral institutions to adhere to government systems and enhance service delivery.
