ELGIA in partnership IEBC and National Treasury convened a learning session on of Supply Chain and Procurement
On Wednesday, June 19th 2024 The Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) in partnership with the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and National Treasury convened a learning session for IEBC’s Directorate of Supply Chain and Procurement.
The conference seeks to review the legal framework for procurement as well as onboarding IEBC’s procurement team onto the Electronic Government Procurement System (EGPS) sanctioned by National Treasury. As an area of election operations, capacity building aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and verifiability in procurement processes.
The technical assistance largely supports adherence of electoral institutions to government systems towards improving service delivery.
