ELGIA participated in the fourth National Dialogue Conference of the People Driven Reforms
The Electoral Law and Governance Institute for Africa (ELGIA) participated in the fourth National Dialogue Conference (NDC) of the People Driven Reforms. This conference was organized by the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), and the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), with support from the USAID Mulika Initiative.
The primary objectives of the conference were to provide religious leaders with an opportunity to review the report presented to parliament by the National Dialogue Committee, to examine the nine parliamentary bills drafted by NADCO to identify areas of consensus and gaps, and to recommend necessary revisions. Additionally, the conference aimed to develop strategies for public messaging regarding the constitutional and legislative reforms proposed in the NADCO report.
